Doomsday - where are the events?!

After playing a year ingame as soviet and i have noticed there havent been any events?
IMO the events are what makes the game so alive, but i havent seen a single one. Is it supposed to be this way, or is it just a flaw in my copy?
It seems really wierd if they decided to exclude the events from Doomsday since they make the game alive, as i said.

If this was Victoria I would of said "It's only one year" but one year of HOI without events is a bit harsh.

Look in the doomsday/dp/evetns folder, that should give you some clues

I forgot to ask. Are there any events in Doomsday for you guys?

I just remembered that there was a secret weapon discovery event that firered. But im missing the "story line" events so to speak

the events in doomsday are basically those for WW2, not WW3 (unless I missed some stuff)

I have seen a new event called "Recognition of Manchukou" when playing as Germany in DD.

It happens in January 1938 I think.

Starting as USSR in GC '36 the first yer is fairly quiet IIRC.

Dunno what they did for GC '45.

One thing I have noticed while working on the DD version of my mod is that some events & functions (like the countries in the revolt file) still have a 1947 end date, when they now should have a 1953 end date.

I haven't been able to play the game long enough to see how big an issue (if any) this is, but it would seem based on the unaltered text that you might not be able to liberate any nations after 1947 in vanilla DD.

In my game (DD patched to 1.1) all countries have an enddate of 1953 in revolt.txt.

Is there an event that gives France, Belgium and Holland their lands back when you beat Germany as USSR in Doomsday?

I'm currently in 1944 and still waiting for the event a month after annexing Germany (through 'Germany surrenders' event which launched when they only had one VP, Oslo, left ), and around a week after annexing Italy (manually, no event came). I think garrisoning the whole of France really isn't worth the trouble (I have way more than enough troops to beat Japan anyway, even without the French IC), so I'd want to give it back to the Frenchies, but since there isn't an event, do I need to make one myself (making it should be fairly easy though, just copying the US event that gives them the land, but I really think there should be an event included that does this).

Why would USSR want to give that land back to right-wing French, Belgian and Dutch regimes? Create one massive "Carolingian Peoples' Republic" or something

Thjere's plenty of new events for WWII (the regular HOI2 scenarios), just not WWIII (the DD scenario).
All in all, there's 100-150 new events.
