Doomsday DAIM+unofficial SMEP

OK, I get a lot confused when searching for opinions about how the unofficial SMEP and DAIM for Doomsday work together.

I think a lot of the confusion come because I find myself searching for an opinion in the bugfix thread for the unofficial SMEP. Not to mention there seems to be 2 unofficial SMEP conversion projects, one dead, the other not so dead.

So I decided to start a thread to get a definitive answer, hopefully.

Please post 'yes' or 'no' if you believe the current working versions of DAIM and the unofficial SMEP by egslim (with tons of feedback from eradicate and others) are worth playing and work well together.

Basically, I'd like to add all the events I can but I'd rather not have a really buggy game. I restart enough as it is...

So, again, 'yes,' or 'no,' do the unofficial SMEP and DAIM combo work well enough together to enhance the game beyond just DAIM. An explanation after yes or no would be great.

Hope this helps others too.

Thanks.

SMEP is definitely not dead. It is on hold, however, as I am now student teaching at a middle school and it is eating up all my time. And yes, the SMEP for Doomsday is unofficial and I am in no way involved, nor do I approve of their alterations to my work.

Thanks for the reply Atruejedi. I think I've got some of my verbage out of whack, and I'll edit it appropriately. I've got a great amount of respect for your work.

What I referred to as being "dead" and "not so dead" wasn't your work, but the unofficial DD conversions.

I'm sorry you don't approve. I don't really know the background and I'm not real sure I want to get into it. I really really like SMEP, but I also like some of the features in Doomsday and I always seem to miss Doomsday when I use SMEP with HOI2 1.3. I believe it's unfortunate that you don't have a SMEP version available for DD. I respect whatever reasons you don't, and I'm sure this is a bit of a broken record.

Back to my curiosity though, are any of the unofficial works relatively bug-free?

I think I'll just try it myself...

Let me just say... soon you will not have to worry about the unofficial SMEP for Doomsday. Take that however you want, it's supposed to be vague and enigmatic. :)

You're buying DD?

YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY :D :D :D :D

Or you're having them shut down :(.

Both the DD-DAIM and Unofficial SMEP for DD (by egslim) work together. I believe DD-DAIM should be installed first, and then SMEP-DD.
