..cos apparently, they'll not unlock. I just did a quick run to get Turn the Table achievement, but it didn't pop up. I'll now try with random New World turned off and post results.

Don't use random New World when going for the Achievements

They work fine for me -- I just got "Respected" playing as Japan with a random new world.
