For an agreement to have the effect of law the signature has to be original, at least in my country. This is why I am assuming they can't accept scanned copies.
Well I was just asking because it was possible for me to do that in another Beta. Print out the forms, sign them, have a witness sign too (including address etc.), then scanned them in and sent those over. Anyway I do know now. Not that it matters right now. 
Well being the good guy that I am, I have fired off reminder E-Mails to everyone who hasn't sent in an NDA.
Did you guys have a limit for the selection ? Or did you just gave the Beta to all those wh qualify ? If so, how many were picked ?
we had alimit but I am not sure off the top of my head how may we picked.
King, Being the good guy I am, I allow you to put me at the top of the list of Beta-subbing to replace any that dont NDA back to you..

). I am too (if you find it relevant)Scanned/Digital signatures are also acceptable and considered binding by law in a wide range of situations. For example:
E-signing a master promissory note for student loans
E-signing your taxes!
evil IRS...Transfer of copyright forms for articles to be published in scientific journals
even Online Credit Card Transactions!

Now NDA's (as a specific contract) and especially Sweden (as a totally different country) on the other hand (where the precedent would supercede any US precedent as the company is based there) may be different than this, but I can't speculate further as I haven't a clue about international law
But no, original signatures are not required in the vast majority of cases
I did receive one of those "regret to inform" messages back in the day and stopped applying for beta. I wouldn't mind though, being picked as a beta tester without me having to apply, in a "W"esque preemptive beta doctrine.
