Thinking about ending it is not the same thing as definitely ending it after x number of DLCs.Well no, it's not just a rumour, see the Doomdark DD which CatilinamSum quoted. They did say they are thinking of ending it.

The devs have literally never said that. Just a made up rumor persistently spread by some of the users.

Still, it's enough indication of intent for it not to be just a rumour. But yes, semantics aside - nobody knows how many more DLCs are to come. Paradox probably don't either, but they see the limitations of the engine and age of the game, and acknowledged it is an issue, so good on them . We'll see what we'll getThinking about ending it is not the same thing as definitely ending it after x number of DLCs.
Did you ever play the Reaper's Due patch or later? It made the game like 40% quicker.I believe this game was finished after Horse Lords and I still play it rolled back to the last pre-conclave patch. Honestly Rajas of India was the death rattle of the game IMO. Even though I like RoI the game has been a bit messy and bogged down ever since. When you think back to what the game was like on day 1 and look at it now I don't really think you could ask for much more. They really tried to give everyone everything they ever wanted. It's done now.

Yeah, loads.No. What do you mean quicker? As in optimization? I rolled the game back when Conclave came out and haven't moved forward since. The last three DLC are of no real interest to me.
Exactly. Ever since there's game rules, there is really no reason to ever stay on an older patch. They have even re-introduced the assassination that you can order like a pizza!Yeah, loads.
The 2.6 patches massively improved stability, also why keep it backdated after Conclave? Didn't people just dislike the defensive pacts and shattered retreat stuff? Cause there are game rules to turn those off now yet still get all the other things from the patch and further along patches.

Get crazy - try it out some time. You can always roll back again if it's not your taste, but just try it out once.Well I'm also not really interested in the DLCs or free patches that came out from Conclave on so that's part of why I keep it rolled back. It's not just optimization I'm talking about the game just starts to feel like a lot of crap shoved into a small box at a certain point.
I mean are you really arguing about free content? Like regardless of the DLCs there is still many improvements to the base game and bug fixes. The game runs better now than pretty much ever before and has more features. Even if you don't want to get the DLC you are literally just turning away free improvements to the game because of what?Well I'm also not really interested in the DLCs or free patches that came out from Conclave on so that's part of why I keep it rolled back. You have not even tried it out? You can disable the biggest thing that people disliked about the 2.5 patches.
As said above at least try it out once before you say it is crap...![]()
