Dont release this game too early, Please.

I remember the mess that was HOI3 on release. I also remember this forum and the fallout.
I even remember one guy saying he was going to sue Paradox - a huge thread that one, that was incredibly funny.
As an old fan of HOI I'd just like Paradox to get it right this time. Take your time guys. Have a cup of tea and a biscuit and mull over it a bit. Get some good play-testers. Lots of them. And then listen to them. Please

Lets not repeat 2009 and then have to wait until the second expansion until the game is remotely playable.
However, if you DO - then call it an Alpha Early Release, like the plethora of them that have appeared on Steam lately - and give us some warning about what is to come...

They have learned from the past and haven´t released a bugridden game for quite a while. Taking in the account the Paradox track record with games such as CK II and EU IV, one has no reason to fear.

Im quite glad. Unfortunately I was quite put off. Since then, only ever bought a game when it is nearing completion, its second expansion is usually a good time. Vic 2, CK2 etc. Its a shame - but I just prefer to wait than be disappointed.

It is sometimes hard to judge the state of a game by the issues being brought up on the forums. Those not having problems are much less likely to post than those who are.

I had no real problems with HOI3 when it came out. As always, the first two patches made some important balance tweaks, but the game itself was quite playable for me.

Depend on the situations. Some games from developers arent the samn what they are doing here. But they should always double check their softwares and playabilities before placing them on the markets.

Glad to hear it and I understand that the complainers usually hog the forums. There were an awful lot though. Since then I have never touched a Paradox title until later on. Just got into CK2 though.. my god.. what a fabulous game - and its good to hear that they've got their act together. I do think I will wait to see the fallout on here though before purchase of HOI4.

Just wait 6months to a year after release. You spend a LOT less money, and let other people work out all the bugs for you. Save headaches and money - all it requires is a bit of patience to not be an early adopter.

I just bought EUIV about 2 weeks ago on GG for $10. Came with some DLC for free too.

I just hope that HOIV will not end as a beta hell like EU4 is now, after an initially relatively clean release. Every patch goes back and forth with game mechanics and most of the change are untested, and the game is a mess.

I have really tried to like SR1936 and logged a couple dozen hours in it. In the end, in spite of a few good features here and there, it is not half the game that the worst version fo HOI is.

Even though I too only picked up EU4 a few weeks ago, I can't take the same wait a year philosophy to HOI. Part of that is likely that I am not as young as I used to be and only have so many good years of gaming left. I don't want to waste one of them waiting.
