When trade posts owned by feudal rulers (e.g. silk road trade posts) are sieged down, they're destroyed instantly. Now, when a patrician uses the seize trade post against feudal rulers and sieges down the trade post, it's destroyed, and the war ends inconclusively. This is pretty dumb, as the only way to win the trade post is through really awkward means, such as quickly sieging lots of holdings except the trade post and winning battles before the "trade post is still held by original owner"-penalty gets too big. This is really gamey, and the AI doesn't know how to strategize like this.
There are some easy fixes:
- Upon sieging down the trade post, leave it sieged instead of getting destroyed, or at least when it's being sieged down by patricians.
- Upon sieging down the trade post, fire an event where you get the option of either occupying it, or razing it for quick bucks.
Fixing this will make MRs much more enjoyable to play.
