Dominance Victory with 19 Planets (on a Huge Map)?

Hello everyone,

in my recent multiplayergame with my friend we got the message that a rival empire has won via dominance . The funny thing is that the "winning" empire got around 19 planets, his only federation friend got 12 (+2 plantes from his vassal) and we were playing on a 1000 systems map. My friend alone got 86 planets so why did the AI win?

My friends empire is "Trisom Empire" and mine is called "Solvent".

I attached 2 screenshots (in german though) from the "endscreen" so you guys can have a look yourselfes. I can upload the save if needed.

I think it counts vassals and tributaries? I got a random dominance victory with supposedly 53 planets when I'd only colonized 33 myself, but 20 was approximately the number there'd be if you added up all my subjects.

...still seems unlikely for somone with 19 to win though.

Did you maybe let the prethoryn swarm devour that entire section of galaxy covered by the victory screen? That combined with some tributaries and vassals may explain it.

Otherwise, isolate the save game and upload it on the bug forum.

That giant orange blob on the left (under the victory screen) is the empire of my friend

Only his federation friend got a single vassal with 2 planets, so in total they got around 33 planets. Thats not even close to 40% of the whole galaxy

Yeah, this is the second time I've seen this complaint in as many weeks. I've never ran into it myself but I think actually making a bug report would be helpful.
