Doing the FMs work for him

Being forced to micro the command structure with generals is tedious.
Previously you could just mark a large number of divisions and assign a FM and be done with that front for a while.
When playing large nations with many fronts, like Soviets, it is now a lot more microing.
Can something be done?

You still can do it now can't you? Just give your Field marshal a front line and he will sort his armies out for you.

Oh FFS it takes 30 seconds to organise an army. If it's a plain infantry army, once it's full and has a general, that's pretty much all you need to do. Give the army group orders and bob's yer uncle. Tedious....blooming pathetic.

But is it too much to ask to be able to select a bunch of divisions, click on a FM and let him sort them into armies?

You can. Select unassigned divisions, right click on FM's portrait, and the divisions will be assigned to existing armies. Latest beta only, atm.

Ok. I hope they extend it to make the AI create new armies if necessary as well as filling existing ones.

hmm that beta also gives:- Prevented exploit of tech swapping military doctrines by starting level 2 tech in the current branch before switching to a different branch.
