Yes everyone failed to realise just how powerful France was going to become after it was left unchecked like that, with England behind him HG has Carte Blanche to do as he pleases when Nappy comes around.

U guys missed your chance and it would take a huge coalition to break France and Englands stranglehold on this game

Yeah, don't forget Spain. Spain is France's semi-bitch, soon to become it's bourbon brother and will probably be its ally for the rest of the game, unless from somewhere I find a pretty notable reason not to. I don't plan on going on any suicide missions though, with England and Brand forever supporting the French(and this is completely true, both countries have given their entire support to France since the beginning of the game. Austria and Spain were the only countries to ever oppose French expansionism).

Perhaps I missed something. Did Spain, BB and Austria (Venice probably should have joined) ever attack Frangland together?

I know Austria had problems; but a concerted attack by three countries at once on France would be difficult to fend off. Taking France on one-on-one isn't the smartest concept. But, like I say, I wasn't around; the map does speak for itself, I think.

Wish Portugal could do something about it. It'd be like throwing rocks at a tank.

Hmph, everyone complains about how quiet the game is, but nobody mentions the huuuuge risk of me taking on Poland in a war that could have ended in disaster for me (Near the end of the war Poland seemed right on the verge of figuring out how to beat me, by going through Russian Finland and attacking my flank, but I got a sudden and extremely demoralizing victory against him which involved Gustav A. killing one of his best leaders, causing him to capitulate).

As for the unbalance in the game right now, I pray that England realizes they get nothing out of having a friendly France except a competitor for colonies and will break their alliance, or that the Germans will ally with the Turks allowing Brandenburg to expand into the German lands of Western Poland, though Sweden choses neither to stand against the mighty Eastern Alliance of the Russians and Poles or against the Western Alliance of the French and English.

Ahem, whew where to begin on this one...

Ok I see a bunch of bragging and pointing fingers lets go back to the start.

The problem first started with an Austria who war vience setting him back for 30 years, Austria then was picked up by anouther war hungery ruler who, failed to listen and Austria was set back again. Poland pleaded with Venice, BB and Austria to be freinds and set a balance between the powers that were on the verg. FRANCE, and OTTS. A new Austrian player arives, and once again is swept up in the curse and wars BB, he refuses to see that France and Otts are going to stomp everyone into dust. Poland is stuck in a hard spot with a venice that wont take action because of inflation and a BB stuck between a rock and hard place. Austria is partitioned Frances uses this as an excuess to force BB onto his side by attack him over a small province which is going to be his in 100years anyways. Poland now alone in the world and just suffed a humilating defeat by the otts in hungary has but one place to turn. It sure as hell cant be sweden sense he is buddy buddy with the English who is buddy budy with the French so he turns to Russia. O mother Russia let us Stomp the crap out of the Sweds and take back what is yours. The deal is stuck and the war start, after a war not intended to destory sweden just limit his MP poland turns his attention to getting money which he needs badly. Then it happens what he knew was going to happen. England funds Sweden France threatens to war OE says russia better stay out and im stuck holding the ball. With my leader dead I give in take it all back I dont want it anyways.

I'll back Russia and I'll back Spain everyone else if oyu keep sitting on your butts you will be on your backs wonder wtf just ran you over when France England Otts decied to strike you. And if you think for a second HG doesnt want to use nappy later against EVERYONE your wrong i'm half sure he will go after enemyes and allies alike.

Isn't fair if the world third-countries order would fight the mighty western alliance (France-England with Sweden) allied to OE. We're lacking urgently out of funds comparativelly vs them, their power techies and evil incomes.

A fair war resides inside a 1v1 war, no cash loaning from others and no interventions from outside until we get into 17's. Survivance is passing by there.

In fairness to England, England spent most of the period 1453 through the late 1600's without being in conflict with France. Indeed, England had few Continental conflicts; the closest thing to a true military engagement with a European country in the 1500's was the attempt by Spain to punish England with the Armada. And that was in retaliation not for military action by the English, but rather financial aid given to the revolters in the Netherlands. It wasn't until 1689 that England returned to overt military action against European powers (The Grand Alliance), which was the beginning of England's attempts to form coalitions designed to keep power among the continental kingdoms balanced.

Two things wrong with this: 1.) The funds were mostly inconsequential, my treasury at the beginning was roughly the same as my treasury at the end due to the fact that I was on 25% mint, and 2.) Most of the money payed to me by England was for the rights to colonize the Louisianna region.

Yes, because I'm obviously a part of their evil scheme of world-domination because I perfer France and England, who to this very day have NEVER attacked Sweden to Russia and Poland, who attack Sweden as a matter of policy.

I do agree that the western alliance is brutally strong, but just because we're allied doesn't mean we'll always fight side-by-side. And I don't necessarily expect Brandenburg to stay put.

A Western Powers Alliance isn't too bad. I for one am more than willing to take on Venice-BB alone. Or the OE, once I have some boats.
