It certainly does. In the past century or two, almost all of my Flemish dukes perished in duels, so much so that the only one who did not and managed to rule until his 60s received the appropriate sobriquet of "the Old." Who would have thought a dynasty of exclusively steward educational background would fare ill in combat?
I had a interesting duel between two 50-year-old Viking petty Kings recently. Ketill Flatnefr, King of Laithlinn killed Ivar the Boneless, King of the Southern Isles, but then Ivar's son took all of Ketill's land so it's ok.
