Does this game make any references to Majesty 1 and 2?

Aside from the gods, the units and the little blurb that explains this game's backstory?

I haven't seen any mention of any of the characters or events of the previous game aside from that.

Elpirister the Eternal was the head of the mage quild in Majesty 2 and he died at that time. Now his ghost his still around and he leads a human faction in the struggle for power Not to mention the Lich and Rat Kings, and Hash-Aar the Wisest who was the first priest of GrumGog at the time of the last great king.

Where was Elpirister or Hash-Aar the Wisest in Majesty 1 or 2? I don't remember. Any missions in specific?

I do not remember which missions but it may have been in one of the Majesty2 expansions. Anyway these were side story characters and if they were mentioned in the mission description they never actually appeared during the missions.

I'm pretty sure those guys were in Majesty 2.

Rjak was in Master of Magic with almost exactly the same appearance.
