can we also get an indicator on WHO I promised things to?

After 5 years I think "okay which of these HRE princes did I promise land to again?"

When you go to the peace deal window. The one with all different deal like give money, return core, give me core, and etc... There is a tiny list of coat of arm column on the left. If you see a red thumb down. It meant you are not giving them what were promise corresponding to how much they contribute to war. Green thumb up means they are happy with the deal and will net you some favors. You can hover over that icon to know how much favors etc...

Does the AI accumulate favors faster or do they start with some right after the alliance is made? In my Papal State game I allied Venice and they asked me to join their offensive war against Albania already in 1445 while I had 0-1 favors with them. Or is there something I have understood wrong here?

Perhaps you selected to join offensive wars - thats why they felt it's ok to call you in.

Yes, I had that selected. But, still, Wiz said: "Yes, the AI can't call a player offensively without spending favors or promising land."
So either it doesn't work like this or they got some favors out of nowhere.
