Does the AI consider men at arms strength when considering a revolt? If not, should it?

I was struck recently by the fact that, despite possessing a markedly inferior army to me, my vassals numbering 7000 decided to revolt. My own army was only 6k, however 1.5k of those were heavy cavalry. I easily crushed them for almost no losses, and they went to jail. It seems a little silly to me that vassals would revolt if they knew their liege's armies were roughly the same number, however their peasants would be facing armoured knights. Do you agree with this assessment?

It also depends on the type of MAA and stat boosts your realm upgrades give you. MAA are stronger than levies ofc. Also pay mind to the 1-4 star rating of the strength of your armies. I'm not sure how much the AI weighs it, but it can't be zero I would think, and maybe is something the AI treats as a "force multiplier" of sorts? No way of knowing without the devs cueing us in specifically since combat AI gets tweaked like every patch anyhow.

I tend to see the case where moderately larger armies fleeing a 3/4 star unit of almost entirely MAA and knights most times, so I figure AI recognizes the difference when they're romping around with armies almost entirely of levies. Or AI is being dumb and has some random castle its going after and I'm just assuming so, lol.

Either way, the base stats of your MAA and any serious upgrading of your realm structures is going to boost that, especially those tasty ducal structures. Jousting grounds ftw.

They will have far more knights than you which can also tip it in their favour. If heavy cav in your army rebel ai should probably stick to sieging hills and mountains

Do they take into account how much gold you have, as I always have a war chest, except at beginning, so can easily buy merc companies to counter any excess they may have.

I think it’s the knights, not the MAA’s, and especially knight efficiency, that the ai fails to account for, which is why some of the cultural traditions introduced with Royal Court are so, ummm, effective.
