Does that Facebook button at top of forum work?

I keep seeing that Facebook connect button at top of Forum.I have Facebook.Yet Everytime I press it nothing Happens.I have liked Paradox Development Studios,CK2,EUIV, Etc. but nothing.

Is there an app I'm missing?

You need to link your FB account with the forum account.
In settings there should be an "Edit conections" option.

I went to the edit connections section of my profile saw button.Clicked on it still nothing.

In general settings.I also changed some vcard setting.To see if that helped.Nope.

Also tried logging out and relogging on to forum.

I've done these things and the button also does not work for me.

I'm in Firefox trying it and it still does not work. The "web console" tells me the following:

Tried again with Explorer. my GOD this browser is painful to use. Seriously, just loading this page to edit this message ramped me up to 97% of my CPU. CPU was acting SO slow I had to check in task manager what the hell. ANYway, button does not work in this browser either.

Back to Chrome. Can't seem to do anything to get the button to do anything at all.

I tried looking at the source code (is there supposed to be an / in the img tag?) and it seems to be a java app, so, I turned my java to be "Always on" and tried both the top button and the one in my profile. Nothing. Then I tried turning EVERYTHING to be "always on" and still nothing.

I had presumed that's what pressing the button would do?

My mouse makes a clicking noise.

IE: nothing at all.

That's not right. The "The Facebook Platform" tag that shows when I hover over it vanishes the moment I click. That's the only visual cue I have that I've actually clicked.

Also, the hand turns to an arrow while the mouse button is clicked.

I've just noticed there is a like button at the top of the thread and that it is connected to my account

Could I have been connected all this time?

If so I feel terribly stupid.

I think you may have. Seems the app has been sending weird messages so no wonder it gets confusing.

Your account is not listed as being linked which may be what is causing the issue.

Not that it's really important to me, but as i've just registered on facebook again after a few years i tried clicking that button and it does exactly what the guy above described: nothing! I went into the options menu and tried to connect from there... still nothing... any ideas?

Here i thought it was fixed.
It was originally setup ages ago and linked through a staff members personal account, when the forum grew and that was disconnected it did not seam to function properly.
I did write a new App for it with a Corporate account and plug in for FB but apparently you say it still has the same issue. Not being a FB person myself I have no idea why it is not working.
perhaps if Mark sees this he can sort it out for us.

Anyway the forum update is fast approaching and hopefully that will help, or I can take another look at it when that is done.

You should be able to "like" stuff directly to Facebook using that thing (if you are logged in to facebook at the same time). Is the like button not visible to you?

Never seen any like buttons here, even when i'm chatting on facebook in another tab (so i'm definately logged in ). I just see the "f-Connect" button at the top and when i try to click it, nothing happens. When i hover over the button the address shown in the addressbar is: "http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/#" if that helps.

Well, as i mentioned, it doesn't really matter to me. I just wanted to point it out when i unsuccessfully tried it... Guess we better wait for this ominous great-but-always-postponed forum update first!
