Ah, thanks for the clarification, although I must assume all these games are being tested internally -- the idea they require no team resources is one I don't buy.

Second... this means that your quality control is, to put it mildly, lacking. Why can't you take the time to polish your in-game text, fine-tune the interface, or create a proper tutorial? Why is HoI3 still wall-to-wall typos after 18 months of release? (And perhaps more importantly, why does the company think it's okay to release games in this state in the first place? I've worked on mod teams that put more effort into proofing text...)

We use an external testing studio (QA) since Victoria 2 and normally editors to help us with texts.

If we still have numerous spelling errors in HoI3 I think we should fix them asap, it is not ok. After all it isn't that hard to fix.

We'll look into this.

Or the other direction, expanding the timeframe further..

But to the actual focus of "new ideas"(MMORG/card game) everything seems possible..
:D

Kind regards,

If PI is "spreading themselves a bit thin" I say "GO FOR IT!" Yes their new games always have some bugs to fix, and yes sometimes it takes months. But having never got involved in PI games until after some of their older classics had gone to "Gold" or "Complete" versions I observe that, eventually they get most of all of their games, fixed, balanced, well-tuned, and up to their full potential. That is a lot more than many publishers can say. Moreover, their games are some of the best strategy games around. Their games consistently show vision and integrity. If the price to pay for that is that nearly all their games are buggy and in need of tweaking when they first go on sale, I think we should all be very happy to accept that price. PI making more games, and thriving is good for our hobby.

Over in the Hearts of Iron 3 forum a Mac user started a thread complaining about the lack of support the Mac version of HoI3 is getting -- specifically that the latest version of the game is still not available for the Mac, so the game remains somewhat 'broken'. A Paradox staffer responded that they're a small team and haven't had time to update the Mac version.

This must be a misunderstanding. We do not make the mac ports ourselves at all, so our team size has nothing to do with mac versions. All that is licensed to Virtual Programming.
