Does anyone want a ck2? (read the first post in this thread first)

I am pretty sure they have thought about it ... but I also think that they hope that some of them fall into the hands of people who wouldn't buy it, and they would thus start to play it and maybe buy other games as well. A good way to keep the casual fans of the page interested.

Not much use for me personally. I didn't win the boxed copy, and I have little need for the downloaded version. But I can always give it to someone who doesn't have it, if I win.

Paradox is just too good ! You can even trade it to some other title if you already have CK !

I don't really have a problem with Facebook or people I don't know wanting to be my friend or people/fb/corporations getting information from me via facebook. Mostly cuz I wouldn't be dumb enough too put anything too vital out there.

No, the reason I don't join facebook is because people that I DO know would try to talk to me. Eugh. It's bad enough that so many people I don't like know my cell number and try to talk to me. It'd be worse if I were on FB. And then I'd feel all obligated to talk to them and be nice and stuff. I know I could ignore them or whatever, but I find I can never manage to do that sort of thing. I'm weird that way, don't ask why.

e.g. Civilization has been pretty consistent - news comes slightly less than a year before the actual game hits the shelves. Blizzard, on the other hand, announces things years ahead.

So, what's a typical wait-period for CK2?

Usually PI do not announce a game until after they have released the one they are currently working on. So we won't see any announcements until August or September, I think. Depending on the game announced, I would say around 12 months if it is made on the existing engine.

V2 was annouced in August 2009, and will be released in August 2010. I think if they announce CK2 in August, it should be ready August 2011.

Seeing as how CK1 is the most replayable of the Paradox games for me, i'd be interested in seeing how it's successor turns out.

(i tried doing that whole facebook thing but until i saw the first page in this thread, didn't figure out it was just a matter of clicking Like.)

I think that if we don't reach it before Christmas it will be announced then.

And the FB page has only existed since 15th. of June.

But the rate of new recruits seem too have decreased a bit lately. I guess the last 5000 will be harder to get than the first 5000.

Yes I want CK2 very much. BUT I do not think we are going to get it .

That. Also I have noticed CK lags even on a high end comps so I would like a fix to that. Although if they are making CK2 that is almost guaranteed.

If they make a CK2, it will use the Clausewitz engine, which is radically different from the former one (Jomini-engine?), the lags from CK will be pretty much irrelevant. But there will be new lag, don't worry

Most likely ... but how will PI check that? .... here we are registered with a screen name and on FB with actual names.

I guess they just let us be counted twice, or take an estimate.

I'm quite sure that PI wants to make CK2 as much as we want them to do it ! Just be patient and wait till the 25K mark will be reached, that's all. It won't take long.

I did, but not maliciously. I posted in the petition thread in January, and when Paradox created the Facebook page I joined that too.
