I haven't played many games yet, but so far I have had no use for conscriptioncenters and honestly don't see the use. Unless you have a one-province nation or you want - for some reason - to recruit all your army in one province.

IMO if one province cannot provide all the draftees you need, you can simply get them in another province (usually).

Also, constructiontime doesn't seem to be much of an issue, but perhaps time increases with higher armytech levels (nothing noteworthy at level 20-30 IMO).

They are useful because they increase manpower for your country (10k for each center) and stimulate demande for products (view as presence of more soldiers, more demand, etc.)

Am I overlooking something? By 'manpower' do you simply meant draftees or do you mean labour?

What's the significance of labour btw. and how is it calculated?

For me, they are only useful when you put them in say America where you can't quickly build a big army.

I use them so that I don't have to build soldiers all over the country. When you play Norway you can't build soldiers up north when it's snow. Only mountains you know...

I think that conscription centers are useful only in certain situations. Esp. if u are a country like russia, with a lot of man power (plus it gets increased by the center) and cheap troops.

I build them as often as I can, especially if i play a smaller/weaker land. It's just that you can't build it before laaate in the game, when I usually have big/strong country(empire:D)

Always put em in far away corners of my empire, to raise troops in serious numbers instead of 2000-4000 at a time :)

I did not know that about extra manpower  typically how much does it reduce maintainance and how much more quickly can i build an army with a conscription centre

I thought you could only build in national provinces?

It does not reduce maintenance at all in EU. Can't recall how much extra manpower you get, but it isn't huge. Generally it doesn't let you build an army more quickly, but it does let you build the entire army in one province as opposed to 15. Assembling the army from 15 provinces which may or may not be under attack can be a royal pain, but the build times are identical.
