Does Ancestor Veneration work with Temporal?

As Leader of my faith I never got an event to make a character a pagan saint. Neither for one of my dynasty nor a character from some other dynasty. Then a gave the religious head title away and a few weeks later the AI made a pagan saint.

So am I just to stupid to get the mechanic right or is there a bug that the human player can’t make saints? Or is this intendet?

This is a bug. The only way you can veneration a former player character with Temporal leadership is to give the religious title to your hier before you die.

I did that. Still I could not. But I can’t even venerate any character.

That puzzles me.

It's based on chance so if you reloaded before the character died, s/he might be venerated.

Also, if you aren't concerned about achievements, you can use a mod that allows veneration without having to worry about giving the title away.

Yeah it works fine. It kind of annoys me though that some rando nobody can be venerated but not your world conquering character
