Does admiral siege pip help in sieging or blockading a province?

I thought they specifically removed naval leader siege pips in one of the last few patches.

Could be using older version..

And no, OP, they don't, afaik.

Admirals spawned via event can have siege pips and they are utterly useless.

And it was a horribly oversight to not recognize that admiral siege pips could apply a modifier to ship speed's affect on blockades instead of just being REMOVED from the game.

Edit: And why the aren't the shock/fire/maneuver scores shown on the map like with generals? STILL? How is that not obviously useful information to see?

I'd agree on both counts, but especially for the latter! Makes no sense to implement this for land, but not Naval!
