Hello!
I'm in the middle of a game, and i was finding funny to name my ships (the bigger ones) according to the political situation of my country.
As every Great Campaign ends up rather ucronic, I end up without people's names to be remembered (if you unify Germany by 1850, "Bismarck" won't be the name your capital ship, isn't it?).
DO YOU NAME YOUR SHIPS? Or do you leave them as they are?
HOW DO YOU NAME THEM?
In this GC game as Piedmont and then Italy i left the name the game proposed until a liberal revolution left me democratic, with just a ship called "Italy" after the unification.
Then i named a series of battlecruisers after ancient romans of the popular part.
When i discovered romanticism, with my liberal governament i named the next series as natural forces with t (Tyfoon, Tornado, Tempest and similars), then another series as "Tremendous" and "Terrible "adjectives (also with t, just to be coerent).
When i started building PDN, i called them with important concepts, as Democracy and Liberty.
My submarines in this game went with "things you don't want to meet with s", as sharp, serpent, scorpion, sunken rock or unfortunate event (that's "sventura" in italian)
I decided that the aircrafts were the Next secret weapon and so i called them as atmosferic accidents with N (mostly nubes names)
Then i went communist, and after a bit of land warfare restarted navy production: my navy officers (or my fantasy) imposed to have battlecruisers named after old ships that were sunken or scrapped, and BB going on with concepts: i had Fraternity and Eguality to complete with Liberty, i added Socialism, Revolution, Class Cocience....
How do you name your ships?
Do you name them?
Next names should i use now?
See you!
