Do You like Aztecs DLC or not?

The poll's current numbers say most people like it (with the second option "but would prefer something else" leading the way), actually.

And with that said, it's at 13 votes right now... hardly an acceptable sample size of the player-base to draw any conclusions. As it is, the only people who will take the poll are not only forum goers, but those who happen upon it in this thread. Its nice, but it'd be hard to draw any serious conclusions from it either way.

17! Yeah, let's wait for more people voting Personally I'd not mind that much if they'd make game playable first. But still I'd like other DLC.

Considering the fact, that they've stated it's a minor DLC, I just can't wrap my ahead around all the negativity in regards to this DLC.

It's completely optional - if you don't want it, don't buy it.

Take it for what it is, a fun little side addition to the game.

It's not that we think we're forced to buy it, it's that we're disappointed developers choose to work on something like this rather than a more topical expansion. A lot of people here would really like to see playable republics and pagans, for example, but that will have to wait because of the Sunset Invasion DLC.

Big yes. I can understand why some people won't like it. But there is no need for the drama. You don't have to buy it and you will lose nothing but a fun ahistorical mad experience for doing so.

Thanks god i read wrong. The first time i read "the latest" i thought i means it will be the last expansion^^ But it seems there is a change for pagans at some point.

It's not that we think we're forced to buy it, it's that we're disappointed developers choose to work on something like this rather than a more topical expansion. Well it had to happen sooner or later. Paradox wants to roll in the moneyz.

I was already foreshadowing after the media success CKII add, and the lets make it more like CIV V changes EU IV is getting, that they would start monetizing the shit out of their games with stuff like this.

The future of PC gaming is full of FPS and dumbed down games

I liked it, until I heard that Paradox were only releasing 4 main DLCs for CK2, which, if you count Sunset Invasion as a full DLC, then that leaves us with one left.

Also, nobody ever said 'only' 4 DLCs. The statement was 'they have plans for AT LEAST 4 more major DLCs' (after Sword of Islam).

I'm already having this discussion in two other threads, but here goes:
It takes time, thought, and effort to develop games. Myself and many others feel that time, thought and effort put into Sunset Invasion is wasted. We'd like to see time, thought, and effort invested into other ideas. One idea I'm keen on seeing is papal elections. This idea also has a lot of traction on the forum. Instead of making Sunset Invasion, why not make a Catholic DLC?

Eh, I'll see how it turns out, through dev diaries and so on. Probably won't buy it, but I don't feel any hostility against it. I'm glad they're supporting the product by releasing extra material in the first place, to be honest; that's not a given this day and age. Then again, I awake every morning happy to haven't died in my sleep, so I probably have rather low expectations in general.

I don't think they'll make much money from this. They're just having some fun. Unfortunately, it seems their fun can't be shared by all of us.

They've already said they were releasing a big DLC and small fun one before the end of the year. I'll let you guess which one of those this is.
