Do You like Aztecs DLC or not?

I'm not going to buy it, but I don't think it'st the worst thing in the world (or the world of Paradox). If I recall correctly Paradox said they were going to release two DLC's before Chrstimas, one fun, small, and surprising, and one bigger and more serious. Let's hope this is the first one.

And if the DLC/patch release schedule is any indication, it'll probably fix some other things along the way.

Yes. It's not a big deal, especially since its EUIV content and isn't taking away from the patches and inevitable Pagan DLC.

Good post. Aye, Aztecs can almost certainly be made playable through modding... though you're looking at a semi-Christian experience if my time as a Norse through command console is any indication. Though now there's yet another reason for us to get a Pagan DLC. With any luck, said DLC has been underway during the dev teams actual work hours and the final showdown between Roman, Aztec, and Viking will soon be underway.

They are probably doing one of those two already - it's not hard to do two things simoultaneously.

Bearing that in mind, it's not like all of Paradox Interactive suddenly put everything down just so they could draw some Aztecs in Europe.

Not even the team behind it, Ubik was not capable of being a leader for a commercial project, and it's totally unsurprising that things turned out the way they did.

Aye, I can get onboard with that line of thought. Still an absolute shame. With any luck, some of the better ideas will ultimately be pillaged for use in EUIV.

I support it. I think the devs should be allowed to have their own fun little projects to sell. The Aztec one also tells me that they will (hopefully) be fun in EUIV.

And this. I hope this insane DLC is a sign that the world outside of Europe might get a little more love in PI's other endeavors. Playing as Mutapa in EUIII is a blast, but only because of the challenge. Once you're Westernized, you're basically just another European power with crappy unit graphics and a religion that has zero upside... except for the best symbol. Beware the White Boar of Animism!!!

Okay, and the Mongols... but only if they can get past my Nubian kingdom's deathgrip on the holy land (which they almost certainly will the moment I show a hint of weakness).

As someone who was seriously annoyed by the fantasy empires, this will be the first DLC I'll pass on. They could as well just have introduced Alien Space Bats.

So no, I do not like this DLC.

All in all, as it stands now, I most likely won't buy this, if this dlc isn't a hoax anyway.

The poll's current numbers say most people like it (with the second option "but would prefer something else" leading the way), actually.

And with that said, it's at 13 votes right now... hardly an acceptable sample size of the player-base to draw any conclusions. As it is, the only people who will take the poll are not only forum goers, but those who happen upon it in this thread. Its nice, but it'd be hard to draw any serious conclusions from it either way.
