I am Transoxiana conquering Mazandaran. As I was chasing down their army, they walked past my fort Herat, into Maymana, then to Termez, and to my fort of Kish. They are now just ignoring the ZOC and walking into Samarkand. Anyone know why?

If this is a bug, please report my post so the mods can move it to the bug reports subforum. Also before someone asks about the arrow, I am using the Fast Universalis mod. I've also attached a save file of this exact date.

I don't know for the first fort, but here that seems legit. They come from the west, there is no fort in Bukhara, so Kish definitely does not block movement to Samarkand unless I miss something and say shit.

Not a bug. An army can ALWAYS go to a fort, hence having two forts next to each other means the army can go directlly from one fort to another.

Unless I'm wrong but I would be surprised, that does only apply to forts that project ZoC, so not on capital forts.

I assumed it was due to ZoC overlapse, and there is no ZoC for capital forts so no overlapse, so no issue like that. But someone else can probably confirm or disconfirm.

Capital forts don't project ZOC. As for the always walking to a fort rule, from my experience in fighting the Teutonic Fort spam, I think it doesn't apply to capital forts either. Although I say "I think" for a reason, I am pretty sure.

Lots of 'it depends'. Depends in these cases on where the return province for the enemy army was at each point, and potentially on whether the other nations they walked through are neutral or hostile or what.

I can see ways that all those moves could be legal within the current system, though.
