Pretty much what the title asks?
Many cultures have been added and even more have been suggested/requested to be added.
However if you take away the flashy portrates, holding art, cultural retinues, names and possibly title names most cultures have few additional decisions, event and overall features related to them.
In fact what you get is:
Raiding cultures
Byzantine cultures that can blind and castrate
Altaic cultures that have a unique casus belli
"Chinese" cultures that can adopt imperial chinese administration
Irish with the Tanistry succesion law
Probably i have forgoten something but you get the idea.
Indeed fleashing out religion is something important especially for the time period but so is adding cultural tied flavor as well.
For example you could add:
- Rota inheritence system for Russians
- Bejeweled drinking cup from skull of enemy for Altaic and Tengri Bulgars
- More extensive use of Eunuchs and events for Byzantine, Turkish, Chinese cultures
- Jauhar for hindu Indian women
- Razzias Casus Belli for Andalusian and Berber Muslims with a goal to loot and capture prisoners
- Decision to change from Agnatic to Enatic clans for Alan Tengri nomads or tribals with a lunatic ruler and absurd events turned on (Alans -> Scythians -> Amazons) if you want to go down that road
As so much more...
Not that the above are the most important or anything but just some additional culture flavor that could be added.
I would be interested to read what you think about the topic since i hardly see any threads requesting additional cultural flavor.
