Do you conquer Switzerland as Germany or Ital

After switzerland is conquered, italy AI no longer feels the desire to park a lot of divisions along the swiss border. Divisions that are more useful when deployed elsewhere

In terms of actual gameplay it’s quite irrelevant, so for me it’s just a matter of aesthetics and roleplay.
In a historical game as Italy I would never do it, as it would look horrendous, unless I were planning to go against Germany at some point.
As Germany, it depends. I sometimes want to annex them, but most of the time I like the nice borders you get with an independent Switzerland.
I wish you could make a proper partition of Switzerland with Vichy France and Italy based on the linguistic borders. That would be fun.

Yes, few times - usually not earlier as 1939 - 1940 - Switzerland has nice stockpile of guns, but almost noone to take it, so this is free equipment
Trying to push into Switzerland via Alpen is a nightmare. If You have problem to counquer them, put a fullback line, let swiss troops to take some of Your lands and slide in their victory points. This will be very short and easy war

As Italy, when I went for a restoration of the Roman Empire, yes. After they added spy master in La Resistance, I haven’t bothered with the minor nations except for the extra spy spot from puppet/Ally… or for the factories from neighbors I could eat early on before Allied intervention becomes a thing.
