I'm trying to figure out whether there is such a thing as an 'unlucky' nation that uses hidden mechanics, and that it is possible to play as one.
I ask because I have been consistently losing battles in this play through despite having better, well, everything to the enemy. As in, I fight defensively after the enemy crosses a river, with a stack of 15 vs my stack of 20. I have higher moral, a better general and equal technology. I also have higher discipline (105% vs 100%). So why am I consistently losing? To win, I seem o have to outnumber them 2:1 with my superior troops. Though I've only noticed this on this playthrough, I have noticed something similar before where in a particular playthrough I will always lose battles against inferior troops/numbers.
