No I mean purging Blorg out of the galaxy to solve this "overcrowdation" problem.

That's an effective solution.

Addressing the concern of "gorrammit, there's starfaring bastiches everywhere I look!":

Start with a small number of comparable AI empires (0.5 to 1% of # of star systems), no more than 4 fallen empires, no advanced empires. As we've all seen, starting with 40 total empires (4%) even in a 1k star system galaxy gets overcrowded ridiculously fast, in some part because of the 'clustered starts' metric.

For a more leisurely game, perhaps no other AI empires at start, 1-4 fallen empires and you in a 1k galaxy of choice. Add extra slowness by way of using warp drives as exclusive FTL drive.

Unbidden seems no armor, focus on very heavy shield and powerful energy weapon.
Based on tech, I will assume Scourge will have heavy armor and missile weapon, maybe even strike crafts.
AI will use what they can get from their creators.

Update on TJ's struggle against The Unbidden... First attack with a 30K stack were met with a 24K stack... with 3x 16K stacks reinforcing within minutes. TJ forced to retreat.

I mean... leaving those things for a couple of years is just very, very unforgiving. Man I'm looking forward to battling this bohemoth myself :D

If you ask me, i'd say everything in Stellaris happens too damn fast. When i first read about concept of Stellaris i expected "normal" party length to be like 500 years. But "late game" crisis 130 years from the start?
If anything it ruin immersion completely - no way pops on planets grow that fast, adapt to technologies that fast (and some like sentient AI or psionics are really shaking for people), accept aliens to live alongside them (even if xenophile). Remember that London multiplayer event - 50 (fifty) years from the start everyone know each other and live together - it means that if it were "real" humans among those races - people who saw department of the first FTL ship still live in completely changed society.
it only took us 58 years to go from the first plane to putting someone in orbit. honestly things seem like they progress just fine.

TJ is trying to purge all his pop and use Synthetics solely.

Unbidden occurred in distant points. More eyes of terror appearing?

Maybe the concept was interpreted the wrong way?
An "End game crisis" don't mean that happen when hundred or thousand of years have happened, they are "END game crisis" because they can lead to game over, don't react in time and you will be crushed.
And almost every "crisis" have a trigger modifier. AI rebelion will happen when there are to much robot and sentient AI across the galaxy. Void stuff invasion could happen thanks to a mad scientis just a few decades from the start if the condition are met.

Remember is "end game" (like game over) not "Late game only" ;)

He's almost completely replaced his original population with Synthetics. It's a fascinating idea.

I agree. That is a way the more detailed nature of Stellaris huts the game when compared to its turn based competitors. Since a "turn" in, for example, Master of Orion is a random arbitrary length of time, it is not immersion breaking when it takes a couple of them for colonies develop and such. In Stellaris, though, as things progress in explicitly daiy ticks, it is just plain weird to see an extra planetary colony to establish in a matter of months, and becoming fully self sustaining in a few years at most.

I kinda wish Stellaris had weekly or even monthly ticks. The battles would be weirdly slow, but overall the pacing would be more believable.

It'd be easier to slow travel speed and increase production time than to implement turns.

It'd be easier to slow travel speed and increase production time than to implement turns.

Was that directed to me? Because I never said turns should be implemented. That would be ridiculous. I was only pointing a reason for why this is an issue in Stellaris but not in other games. However, the solution shouldn't be imitating said other games. It doesn't even make sense here.
