Do the Brits ever surrender?

Ive done the bitter peace with the SU.

The UK mainland is firmly under my Jackboot.

North Afirca is all Italian.

I've just finished pushing the Brits out of India.

All they have left is soem god forsaken bits of central Africa and sundry small Islands.

Do they ever sue for peace? Is it possible to make them a puppet?

Or do I have to do a world tour winkling them out of all of their remaining VP provinces?

The British do offer a peace treaty (being puppeted IIRC) but they regain most of their provinces in that process. I´m not sure about the exact conditions but you have to have almost all of those British VP, esp. Gibraltar.

Argghh!! They still won't give in.

I have all their VP provinces - and I have been scouring the map just in case Ive missed some - but the Annex nation option is not happening. They have also rejected my peace offer.

Do I have to annex all their allies first or something?

The Brits have some VPs in islands in the S. Pacific. Also, Malta is one that is easy to miss. If you click on a brit province, it should tell you their capital. That, or you could load as UK and find them too.

The surrender event only fires in the event that the US is not in the Allies. It's a pretty crappy event in any case. Honestly, if they're as beat up as you say, I wouldn't worry terribly much about finding that one last province where they are.

You can see how many VPs does a country still hold in Statistics tab, check that.

Got all those - and the italians have malta.

Oh well - have to invade the US instead I spose.

As J.T. said, go to the statistic tb and find ut how many vps they still have.

After that, switch map to the one that shows victory points, go to the pacific where the British have some islands, and check if any of the vp there is theirs.
Repeat with Atlantic.

You might have hit on something there as there might still be British VP's in the rest of Afica too. The OP said that Italians held North Africa.
