Do prisoners inherit?

As title. For example, my primary heir is my brother, who tried to rebel. Now that I have him in prison, will he still inherit on my characters death?

What about when I have another country's heir in my prison?

When I had a younger brother of the Duke of Bohemia (me) in prison, he was removed from the succession order, so in my experience, yes.

And remember the succession order takes some time to be updated sometimes.

I'd like to know this officially as well. Once, I was almost elected King of Norway despite being locked up in the dungeon-thingy (or at least, so it was listed). Game ended before liege dies, so I was unable to see what would have happened.

I had a game where my heir was in prison, and when I died he got all my titles. So it would appear yes.

Yes, same for me, we were both in prison, and he did get my titles when I died.

As long as they keep their titles, they inherit. If someone removes a title, they don't inherit the kingdom/duchy/county that goes with it.

So once I have inprisoned my rebelious brother, I strip him of his duchy and then he is out of the line of succession?
