Do older games work with new patch?

I have an older save with Norway.
I try to play.
I have no factions inside my kingdom.
Is this right? or i cannot play with an older save?

Do you mean no factions form at all? How long did you play for? I recently started up an old 1.05 game as Wales and things seemed to work well enough, there were several oddities but old saves are certainly playable.

depends. i suppose a truly old save(like 1.0 or so) isnt compatible, but a 1.06 save should be. give factions some time, they wont instaform if your ruler is wlel liked. all raised vassel levies will become unraised and converted into liege levies thoguh.

You are should be able to play with old saves but changes in game mechanics can make playing old saves weird and unplayable once you start playing.
