I play all my games with lucky nations turned off, since in my opinion it leaves space open for interesting things to happen.
What I have noticed though is, that many many nations behave totally ahistorical in almost all of my games.
Especially the colonizers. In my last 5 or 6 games, the Colonialism institution always spawned in England, since Portugal and Castile don't really colonize that much, and instead focus on the Maghreb.
Now, is that because I have lucky nations turned off? Is the AI more likely to behave ahistorical if it's turned off? Like historic focuses in HoI4?
Cheers!
