Alright, I've tried a few things, and talked on the C.O.R.E website as well about this, but I cannot for the life of me find out a way to fix this.

I am trying to install C.O.R.E on top of the Hearts of Iron II Complete Edition from Steam. The problem is I don't know where to install it. I have installed it to the main folder, no dice; the shortcut that CORE itself makes to launch it doesn't work.

I have also installed it into the doomsday folder... still no dice. It simply launched Hearts of Iron 2 both times when I used the shortcut.

So heres my questions: How do I launch Armageddon without using steam? Or, conversely, how do I launch a mod through steam? Or, failing that, where the hell do I install this thing, and how do I run it?

Steam App Locations

In steam your apps are located in:

Program Files/Steam/Steam Apps/common/game_name/...

you can do normal stuff with these file folders, for instance with for the glory I have installed mods by using:

Program Files (x86)/Steam/Steam Apps/common/for the glory 2 - a europa universalis two game/mods/modname here

If the installation is at all similar you will have to install the specific mod folder in the mods folder, and place a textfile that identifies that folder as a mod in the mods directory. Hopefully someone who has used HoI2 in steam can give you more info if this doesn't work.
