I'm asking because one site that reviewed EU said that they played as Sweden in the great campaign. I was a bit confused by this because when I played the game at a friend of mine (appparently a pirated version since he had no intro and no music). That was the english version of the game, is it different in the Swedish version, and are there other campaigns that are different too?

I've been lurking on the forum for a few days and reading all these 'warez warz' posts. One question that comes to mind, and that nobody has mentioned, is 'where did these warez sites get the English language version?'. Any cracker can go buy a legal copy, do his thing and then post it on a warez site. However, you can't buy the English language version of EU anyplace yet, right? It hasn't even been shipped out by the publishers in English-speaking countries yet, right? So, somebody either at Paradox or one of the publishers must be the leak.

Beating up the guy that downloads the pirate copy is ineffective. To take the pirate analogy, you have Blackbeard, a 'fence' ashore who sells the loot, and a consumer who knowingly buys pirate loot from the fence. The downloader is the consumer buying the loot. The fence is the operator of the warez site. The guy you want to go after is Blackbeard, the guy who stole the loot in the first place.

Normally, with warez versions of programs that have been commercially released, good luck catching Blackbeard. In this case, though, the number of potential suspects is pretty limited. Paradox should take steps. There is a lot they can do to track down the culprit.

That was a really interesting observation! Now, has Paradox implemented new security procedures so this warez s**t doesnt happen again?

As for the rest of your comment, you cant morally get away with ysing warez goods because the major crook in this matter is employed with either Paradox or the English distributors. You are still a criminal if you purchase stolen goods if you know it is stolen, and nobody could argue that warez sites supply legit goods :)

Considering that the Paradox staff has worked hard with this game, the leak is most probably in the distributor channel.

It´s propably a (p)review copy sent to a magazine or game site.

You misunderstand my comment. I do not mean that it is morally acceptable to knowingly purchase stolen goods, or to use software downloaded from a warez site. What I was trying to say is that if your intent is to reduce the incidence of piracy, you will be more effective by chasing pirates than by chasing the ultimate consumers of the stolen goods.

I asked because I am going to buy the game, it was a lot of fun, I just want to know if Sweden could be played in the Grand campaign if I bought the Swedish version.
