Specifically, do they get on with their bikes? I thought I saw this once but I wasn't sure.
Do cyclists catch trains or metros?

I believe cyclists can use mass transit, but it's difficult to confirm because I have an extensive network of bike lanes running throughout my entire city. Most cyclists will happily use them to pedal dozens of miles to their destination rather than take the train.
Yes they will bike to all forms of transport if its quickest for them but I dont know if they take them with them as "pocket" bikes. You can experiment by connecting outlying residential districts that have no public transport to the train station with bike lanes and see what happens...
The have pocket bike, they use it all the time they reach my bicycle path after start on foot.
It easy to check because the traffic info view is not always updated when they switch to bicycle.
As you see the cims it's still considered as pedestrian but the 2 river path bridge are bicycle ones.
edit: it's because I kept the cims selected, if I deselect-select it the graph show him as cyclist
If you wonder why it does not go straight by the roundabout, it's because at this time I often use highway for them, forgetting that they do no have pedestrian path

I've seen a screenshot elsewhere of a cyclist riding down the Metro staircase, so I presume that he was going to catch a train, not use the tube tunnel as a shortcut...

Since I tend to view traffic density/routes and use other info views often, I like to assign keyboard shortcuts to them. SHIFT+R for traffic density and CTRL+R for traffic routes. I recommend you also use keyboard shortcuts for info views to stay abreast of your city's development.
Yes, cyclists ride their bikes right down the stairs. It's a bit crowded but in the pic you can see two of them heading in.
