In older versions of EU IV, colonial nations would culture convert provinces. Recently I haven't noticed them doing it all, even in instances when there is no separatism and the province has true faith religion.

They don’t… which wouldn’t make much sense anyways. The Spanish colonies just developed a sort of melded culture over time, they should really do something like that

Isn’t this the point of the New World cultures like Mexican and American?

Why not just automatically convert to the New World culture when the religion is converted. That way it gives the CN more stability while being different from the metropole’s culture.

CNs do not convert religion either. Human sacrifice is the way they've done it in Mexico for 5000 years. When in Rome, as they say.

In 1.29, i saw CNs culture converting a LOT after i modded culture conversion to be much cheaper.

They dont convert religions because of how the AI decides whether to do so. If they are at 100% unity, they conclude there is no problem and wont convert.

The problem is that CNs and some nations like Hungary have an idea that puts them at 100% religious unity always. So the AI never converts because they think there is no problem.

You need to give them increased heretic/heathen tolerance, something like +2 or +3 will make them convert religions.
