In my imagination, for example, you play as a single science ship, not play as an alien country, so no more develop station, no more build construction , no more search technology.

Only you do is exploring new galaxy, find treasure and legend, and trigger dialog with strange alien, trigger series event just like any RPG game can do.

I am tired of always begin from a star, a construction ship , a fleet and a science ship. If I can play as single ship, I just experience exploring stellaris galaxy , no need to do boring repeat step once more.

I'm not entirely sure how one would mod that. It's technically possible to make the player empire have only a ship (would probably need a dummy planet for events to work), but adding in enough gameplay might be a huge effort. I'm not sure if recommending other titles is entirely appropriate here, but this reminds me of the "alternate ways to play" recommendations in Distant Worlds (another space 4x game) where you could basically delegate the entire empire to the AI and take control of only a single ship doing its thing if you wanted.

I had the idea of doing something like a "Star Trek Voyager"-type storyline, where your ship gets stranded in an unknown part of space, and then you'd have to find a way to return home while you move through a prescripted galaxy with some randomized areas. Finding cool stuff through tons of events on the way there, etc.

Even brainstormed some gameplay elements where your ship constantly uses up power and you have to find ways to increase your power, upgrade its components to require less power, etc. ... give players access to artifacts that enable them to go to new locations, etc. etc.

It's technically possible to do, but let's be honest... the amount of work required for such a mod would be immense, and it's very far outside of the realms of what players usually play Stellaris for.

...but it the idea is to just put the player into a single science ship and let them explore the galaxy, then to be honest, that would probably be pretty boring.

just make it become a rpg game, you can use other fleet, you can revise or upgrade fleet ,you can change fleet.I just want not playing the total game,it is too tired for me to play it for 2-3 days.

That's what I expected the mobile game to be, tbh.
There's a potential for this kind of game in a Stellaris setting.

It would still require a massive amount of writing to entertain the player though, as well as some game mechanics. I don't think it could be modded in to Stellaris very easily, it's another game entirely (though it could re-use assets from Stellaris).

thats the irony with mods

HUGE mechanic- changing overhauls are not possible as long as the game is "developed" by the developer, script changing mods (like the one you suggested would be) would be utterly destroyed by any update, especially if you consider how paradox doesnt shy away from completly redoing core mechanics.

updating (not even talking about developing it in the first place) a massive (actual) overhaul mod like this, everytime a dlc or update would roll along, would just be TOO MUCH effort, and unsustainable, no progress would be possible

massive gamechanging mods can only "be" a thing if the game itself is "finished" or abandoned by the developers

enderal for example wouldnt be possible if skyrim would have been still maintained during its development
