I don't think they are proper members of the Allies, seeing as in the World War Wednesdays of the past the Commonwealth countries come into the war one by one in support of the United Kingdom. If the United Kingdom was on the Axis side, I'd assume that a lot of the Commonwealth countries would still align to the UK and join the Axis in war.

I doubt Canada would, due to proximity to USA. But AUS/NZ May well do as the prospect of fighting the Japanese without British support must seem impossible.

I had in mind trying to get Mosley or King Edward as ruler of fascist UK. However, I was somewhat uncertain if Canada and Australia would join me or not in my quest for reclaiming
the 13 colonies. After all, UK going fascist would have irked them somewhat IRL, but in game.....?

I have the intention of trying this in a multiplayer game with some acquintances, and what happens to Canada and Australia after UK going fascist is of interest for me to know!

That's normal behaviour to join a war over several days. Just like IRL - it took about a week for all of the Commonwealth to declare in September 1939, South Africa being the last.

The Commonwealth nations do start as the only members of the Allies in 1936. France joins later in historic mode:

http://www.hoi4wiki.com/Faction

The UK can't join the Axis if they are in the Allies, you can't be a member of two factions. They would have to disband the Allies first. A faction leader can't chuck members, and can't disband while non-puppets are members.

However, if the UK goes fascist the democratic Commonwealth countries get pissed off and leave. Then you are free to approach Germany on your belly and beg to be allowed to join their faction. ;)

For Australia, being part of the Allies, not really.

But joining Britain, almost certainly, because from a foreign policy perspective, we were still in lockstep with them.

Australia never actually declared war on Germany...The Prime minister 'merely' announced that Britain is at war, therefore Australia is at war.

It was during the Pacific war, and the consequent need for Australia to work with the US that really drove Australia to develop a foreign policy/relations seperate for them UK.

If Canada goes facist USA invasion inevatable .Does The Monroe Doctrine mean anything

The Monroe Doctrine was about preventing further overseas colonisation/hegemony in America (both continents). I don't really see what impact the ideology of the Canadian government had on it, so long as they didn't try and broker a British invasion of Brazil or something equally bizarre.

You should probably be prepared to spend a lot of political influence on supporting Adrien Arcand and Colonel Campbell. Unaware of any major New Zealand Fascist, and besides they are so small might be easier to just invade em..
