Nice deal at Gamersgate. I used it to buy the Sword of Islam DLC for CK2 for two dollars and some change.
But yeah, the Gamersgate release of CK2 and its DLCs aren't compatible with the Steam version and its DLCs (and vice-versa), and if you bought a boxed version then it's the Steam-activated version.

No, but the ones on Impulse (just download their client, and copy the key into Steam) and Green Man Gaming (which are sold out atm) are.
