Sorry if this question was asked before but when I'm not connected to the internet, the game doesn't seem to recognize my DLC. Is there any way to play the game with DLC when offline? Any help is greatly appreciated

Are you on Steam or GamersGate? We've had some reports like this with the GG in-game store.
Thanks for the reply! I bought it as CKII Collection from Steam but never used in-game store. Then I guess I'm the only one with this problem :huh:
The in-game store is for GG customers only, for Steam you have the Steam client, so forget it.
What exactly are you seeing? You start the game launcher, and if not on the internet there's no DLCs listed? Or they are listed and you select them, but they are not active in the game?
Does it affect every DLC you have?
Are you on Mac, PC or Linux?

I use Windows 7. DLC appear on the launcher but after starting the game I can't use none of them. E.g I can't continue my savegame with muslims because the play button says I don't own SoI.

Hmm, no real ideas to be honest. So when you are on the main game menu, and not on the internet, you see none of the small round icons marking major DLCs on the centre-left of the screen?
Do you have the Steam client running at the time (in offline mode), or not? Either way, try it the other way and see whether it makes any difference.

Not sure if my experience is relevant to the OP's question and issue as I have the GG version, but I did find that after having the in-game store install it in the GG version after purchasing The Old Gods DLC recently, when I ran CK2 it defaulted to having the Old Gods DLC already checked in the launcher, but actually in game there was no Old Gods content (including not being able to choose the earlier start time). Remembering back from earlier experiences in CK2 with other DLCs, I unchecked The Old Gods DLC in the launcher, exitted, then restarted and rechecked it to include the Old Gods DLC and it ran fine showing the DLC's content after that.
Not logical, seems to be a poor interface design issue, but that's fixed it for me for SoI and ToG DLCs both times when first installing those DLCs.
Perhaps the same would work for you, Deytush? Afraid I don't use Steam so I'm not sure what means there is to toggle DLCs on in the Steam interface for CK2.

The launcher is identical between the GG and Steam versions. But his issue is quite different to yours, it seems he sees NO DLCs in-game when not connected to the internet, and ALL DLCs when he is.
Not sure if it's just a coincidence or the game fixed itself magically, but I just tried to play offline and my DLCs worked:laugh: Thanks again for all your help
:rofl: Well, I didn't do any major changes like that. I only changed my wireless adaptor (I was having connection problems and it was why I wanted to play offline) and registered the game to forums, though I don't think they are relevant. I'm also starting to think it's not a coincidence. The DLCs still work offline :happy:
You already had CK2 registered here, or you could not have posted this thread here. Or did you mean a different forum?
I tried to play offline for more than a month, but DLC never worked without internet. So I decided to search for help, and registered my key to access Tech Support forum. After registering CKII and asking my question, I didn't play offline again until I posted #9. So in short, I didn't have it registered here when DLC didn't work. But I can't think of any other changes that I did except these.
I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it, but my in-game store button was also gray like other buttons about DLC when I had the problem, but now it is also clickable when I'm offline. Could it be about registering the key? Because I think I heard somewhere that we can't access some features like metaserver if we don't have it registered. But I can't say it's true, only played a LAN game and could click in-game store button when online.

Registering on these forums does nothing whatever to the game itself, it is purely to get access to Paradox resources like Tech Support and the metaserver.
