DLC won't load (Already tried the usual solutions)

So I patched up after not playing for a while and none of my DLC loads now. My immediate thought was to verify the game cache. All files verified without issue. DLC still missing. They show up in the check boxes on the CK2 launcher, but not in the game itself. They are present in the folders in the steamapps folder too.

Things I have tried:
- Verifying the cache
- uninstalling and reinstalling
- removing all files related to the game and then uninstalling and reinstalling with a fresh download
- verifying the cache again
- verifying the cache five more times for good measure

Still no dice. Any thoughts on how to fix this? After spending a good hour searching for solutions to this, all I see are threads saying how verifying the cache fixed this for them, but that does not work in this case.

Have you reinstalled via the ingame store?

Might seem like a stupid idea but have you restarted steam and your computer at any point?

I've seen a lot of people having problems with some game, they have reinstalled, verified caches and all but haven't done something as simple as restarting steam and their computer lol...

Does the DLC appear on downloadable content on your games list? If it appears there and also appears on the launcher then it doesn't seem like a problem related to steam. Maybe you should try to contact paradox support and/or steam support if nothing works.

Feel pretty stupid now, but yes, rebooting steam and my computer fixed it. An update applied to steam when I did so, and the problem was solved.
