I recently bought the Sons of Abraham DLC on steam I then started my game and when I went to play the game didn't recognize any of my DLC, even the Sons of Abraham. The check boxes for the DLC were still there and checked but they have no affect on the game. I have tried uninstalling several times but I am always met with the same result. I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen or knows how I can fix this. I am playing on a Mac but so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, but any help would be appreciated.

Please try a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local files" in Steam
- manually delete all files left under Steam/CK2 AND Documents/CK2 (see sticky FILE LOCATIONS thread above for exact locations)
- re-install game in Steam, run a verify when done.

Please try a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere

I have the exact same issue as theknightoftime(except I'm using Windows 7), and I tried what you suggested but it didn't help.

One user posted this workaround, see if it helps yo too:

I had been having the exact same problem as others in this thread but found a workaround: I right-clicked CK2 in my Steam library, opened Properties, and unchecked the box "Enable Steam Community In-Game" in the general tab. The game now starts without crashing and my DLC is usable.

This disables the Steam overlay, of course, but all of my DLC showed up when I launched the game. I still had to start it from Steam - opening the app directly, while also not crashing, didn't let me access my DLC.

Same seemed to happen to me with the Gamers Gate Version. I tried checking only The Old Gods and still couldn't start the game prior to 1066.

Usualy gets solved, by staying logged-in to the ingame store while restarting the game, which you need to do anyway. Afterwards it should work and you can log out and go offline.

1) Tried and still not fixed.
2) The only time I ever logged into the store was to install the dlc. I have never have to log in after that to use the dlc.

As stated by several others, this problem arose with either SOA, 2.0, or 2.01.

I may re-install and try to find the error, or just wait for my Steam keys.
