What I'm expecting of the two-tier expansion scheme is that the major expansions will be content like Holy Fury or Old Gods, that is, stuff that either adds a significant amount of content more or less thorough the map, or builds up an entirely new form of gameplay (in the form of governments). The flavor packs, on the other hand, would be things that add to a specific region or religion. With that in mind, and disregarding ones that have been mentioned a thousand times in the same form, here's some that I could see happening:

Major Expansions

A Changing World: a major DLC focusing on the economical and social effects of environmental changes over the playable centuries - from the prosperity of Italy and drying Africa during the Medieval Warm Period to the growing cold winters of the beginning Little Ice Age. The human effect on environment (deforestation, soil erosion), and how to adapt the approach to it as the environment itself goes through changes. Changing coastlines - this one's for all you low country enthusiasts.

The Power of Agreement: a major DLC focusing on diplomacy - rather than replacing the diplomacy system in the game, supplementing it with a meaty diplomacy system of interrelations, agreements and deals. Peace deals, marriage negotiations, claim forfeiture as a diplomatic chip - networks of influential characters and cliques with power to rival kings.

Spiritual Lords: a major DLC focusing on religious authorities, not as playable theocracies, but as influential powers to be reckoned. The pope, the Patriarch of Constantinople, Caliphs, heads of reformed pagan faiths, Sufi orders, the list goes on - this DLC would give them all the power and influence appropriate. Along with the mechanics for interacting with these religious authorities in depth, this DLC would add religious councils to adjust an existing faith dynamically, and regional drift for faiths without a central authority. The free patch coming with this DLC would allow several faiths to share the same head of faith.

Flavor Packs

Iberia: A flavor pack detailing the complicated politics of Iberia during the entire length of the game, with common alliances between the Christian and Muslim rulers, the emergence of the Iberian Christian kingdoms, and the power granted to holy orders.

The Silk Road: A flavor pack detailing the lands along the Silk Road, the peoples living on that land, and the flow of innovations passing through it.

All of us Romans: A flavor pack focusing on European Roman identity, and the faded glory of that once-great empire. Claim yourself as the King of Romans, and face the ire of those who would contest that claim.

Tell me what are the DLC's that you would definetly buy for this game , meaning their idea and features.

For me I wish they make a DLC about warfare , a total revamp and adding tons of new features like for example a scorched earth tactic similar to EU4 , so that smaller nations can stand a chance against larger massive empires.

Alos adding a supply lines system with the ability to attack those lines and force some additional attrition upon the enemy , and those features can also work on the player in order to balance the game a little bit. so that players would think twice and strategically before declaring war even upon the smallest of foes.

I want to see an expansion the size of CK2's Rajas of India based around the Silk Road.

Like, twenty or thirty event chains based ariund sending younger sons off on multi-year trade mission, using missionaries to spread your religion to every nation en route, forming trade alluances with distant realms, bringing back strange-cultured mercenaries from the far side of the world to populate/subjugate rebelious provinces, and so on.

Trade routes basically caused the birth of the Russian people in the west, and had Indian culture and religion spread throughout South East Asia in the east, so they're pretty important.

I would like to see something like the ruler designer but that you also can design your own kingdom. like land your kingdom holds, laws, vassals etc.

Just an idea, but what if they got rid of government types all together and had a system more like the religion and laws systems, where you can change how your goverenment works over the course of the game, like pick where along a slider how centralized or decentralized you want to be, will you have a roaming court or a seat of power, how big a role will religion play?

I would love the ability to change terrain types. like, make two types of plains barren plains and fertile plains. it somewhat irks me how northern Italy is barren of any farmland whatsoever even though the Po river valley was said to extremely fertile. maybe even make it possible for the Dutch culture to create farmland out of marshland that way you can play really tall in Holland. It's also a problem of aesthetics because farmland is EXTREMELY pretty IMO and just want it to be seen more often. Maybe this feature could go into a DLC themed around realm management with new laws and add guilds to the game that you can interact with. Like Guilds were an extraordinarily large part of the medieval system and I would like to see them implemented in some ways. also, some sort of trade system would be good, centered around these guilds and natural resources. something more fluid than the trading system in ck2 would be amazing. probably include it with the upcoming republic DLC.

I would like to see China and East Asia added to the game with a Mandate of Heaven mechanic that can force a change of dynasty and would be a little like the decadence system from CK2. or at least a Republics' DLC with a way to change from a tribal government to a republic, feudal, etc.

Southeast Asia should be added as a trial run before China.

Trade and production, one of the biggest influences on medieval realms was trade and production, cities became legendary off of it, states based there governance around it and kings funded entire wars of it. it would also be nice to see a dynamic trade system with some reciprocity in trade, the far east lusted after the fine glassware and furs of Europe as much as Europe lusted after sumptuous silks and spices of the orient.
