Edit 2: Is that the modern Scotland flag I see up the top? Possible replacement of the rampant lion flag? Maybe just a custom nation flag though.

GET flavour? France are one of, if not the most flavoured nation in the game.
Looks like 3 new provinces by my reckoning. Nice to see i suppose.

France has 3 new provinces: Saintonge, Bergerac and Cahors, most other provinces were redrawn (and look kinda ugly ). Also, England has at least one province, and Calais is now a strait.

Edit: And Wiz is either playing as a Custom Nation, or as a new tag, probably an Irish minor.

This strait might be actuall buff for islanders. England can block it with the Navy, but it gets access to the continent without splitting army into small-ship-transported stacks which get slaughtered just after landing.

The AI can and often does, drop blocking for no particular reason. I wonder what the travel time is. I just assume that in 80% of games this means France gaining land on GB.

Well, if the AI remembers to block the strait.

But even without that england AI can now bring its troops to the continent without a problem and this changed a lot of things.

Also the problem is not england and france.
Its their no navy allys! Austria, Burgundy, etc!

Personally i like the strait. As long england sometimes wins and sometimes loses i see no problem with it.
Even more if i start seeing AI invading the british islands for a change. (Rarely, very rarely but now its a possibility).
