When Johan edited his motorised divisions during the stream he added three TD battalions in a new brigade. Would it have made a difference if they had been added each as part of the three existing brigades?

Well the only point would probably be Land XP. As adding the first battalion in a brigade costs more. (So adding them as part of the mot brigades could be a tiny bit cheaper)
Next would be the question, if you can add TD to a motor brigade?

You can save land experience by building on the rows instead of opening new columns but a division made out of 6 motosied battalions and 3 tank destroyer battalions will have the same combat performance no matter how they are "placed" in the division.

I don't think you can have motorised and tank destroyers in the same row, the only other battalion I know you can have with motorised is cavalry.

@Naturamix @Denkt @G-sus You cant add armor in an collum of infantry divisions. You can only add one type of battalions in one collum, i.e. Infantry or motorized/mechanized or light/medium/heavy/td armor.

It makes no difference in how you place them in those collums, however. You could have 5 rows of 1 infantry battalion or 1 row of 5 infantry batallions and it would make no difference in stats, but the first one will cost you more land experience.

I don't think you can have motorised and tank destroyers in the same row, the only other battalion I know you can have with motorised is cavalry.

It looked clear to me during the WWW that you could not add a tank or self-propelled gun battalion to the motorized Brigade(row) as it wasn't an option when he clicked to add a 4th battalion. Also when he opened a new column(brigade) it asked him what type of battalions would go in it. So it looks like combined arms brigades are not allowed, but combined arms divisions are.
