My ruler is about to die, and finally got the Divinity Statue. However, there is no way I can find to actually nominate my desired heir.

I found it. It is at the bottom of the Government Tab on the Government window. Labeled Anoint.

I was disappointed that "Annoint" didn't seem to automatically override the first heir. (Whereas with the other way to just select heir, it automatically goes to the one you choose). Has anyone else found this?
Depending on your government for example the elective monarchy you can anoint a successor and the other dont get a loyalty mauls. It the strength of the successor pick is much lower. When you have the ability to select a successor as other laws the other character get a large loyalty malus and are more prone to rebel. I love the elective monarchy.

You can already choose your successor out of the four next in line, without needing the divinity statute.
I realize you are correct and appreciate their diligence.
It can also be updated by Paradox. it is the only place to get sufficient information to play most paradox games at an elevated level, besides trial and error. The development diaries should be updates to the wiki. it would help to understand what is changed and allow the work of development diaries to have a permanent utility.

In the government screen, it always shows the top 4 potential heirs (and new feature is it will show a bloody coin for the pretenders; solid coin for the actual heir). As far as I know there's always the option to choose any one of them - and there will be various events linked if you make a new choice.
