I have been playing Stellaris for over 300 hours and enjoyed almost every hour of it.

Played a lot of different setups, won several games by domination and (rage)quit even more games due to the endgame lag.

In my last few playthroughs I noticed a significant change in my playstyle (ethos :)).

I just seem not to strive for a military domination win anymore or even for a victory at all.

I just love building and developing my Interstellar Empire, exploring the vastness of space, researching the depths of science and enjoying the View of God over my planets, sectors and pops J.

Sure, I expand

Sure, I build a big enough fleet to keep the mad dogs of my lawn

Sure, I sometimes put another civilisation in their place.

But more than once I just shake my head other empires light up their part of galaxy, kill millions of sentient beings and bombard planets to ashes. How uncivilized and childish.

I essentially have enough planets in my part of space to terraform, colonise and develop to grow for many centuries in the future.

My Name is known (and respected of course) in de Galaxy.

Just leave me be!!!

almost. you still have ambition. A fallen empire looks upon their work and does not wonder what there is to go to from there, but rather says there is nothing left accomplish
