It seems every time you form a new nation through a mission, or pop one out in a peace deal, they/you get a -5000 distance between borders malus.

Like say I'm sweden, and I pop Hamburg out of the Hansa. I look to see if I can vassalize it, but it has a -5000 malus (base tax wasn't a problem).

Or if you form Italy or Netherlands, you get a -5000 malus to everyone.

I've tried reloading, but to no avail. Anyone know of a workaround for this? I've popped Styria out of Austria and got an alliance with them just fine, so it's not always an issue...

EDIT: Never mind, I guess it's a new 1.8 bug that they're looking at.
