Well on the ps4 there is trophies for Distant Stars and Megacorp so they're definitely coming. No idea when though.

Hi. Any news about the 2 missing dlc to get all 2 2 content?

There is currently no known date for Distant Stars or Megacorp

Most of the community is hoping for this year
And I think, key word being think, Paradox/Tantalus is trying to ensure we don't have a repeat of what happened after Utopia

But until we get something concrete from them, it is up in the air

I do know that Paradox is trying to get consoles caught up to PC but I think there is an issue where the current gen hardware might not be 100% up to snuff
Mainly due in part that the console version of the game is seeing way more issues with stability than the PC version did

I would bet on late this year or mid next year

Perhaps unreasonably, I‘m hoping it’s the former. A lot of stuff appears to already be in place for Megacorp, so it might be more of a case of when is the most effective time to release it, as opposed to how quickly can it be ported/tested etc.

Personally, I’m hoping Federations is early-mid next year (or whatever else is missing). Again, I might be being completely unreasonable here, but I think they may well be working on that now rather than MC.

What kind of stability? Because I - so far - had no problems with it. Everything is running smooth....well for a console version ( and thus still better as my potatoe)
While I hope however that we will get it rather sooner than later, I would say we will only get them in the XSX and PS5 Versions - which i do see coming as the new consoles have more power.

Wasn't MegaCorp quite hungry Hardwarewise on PC?

yeah around Megacorp the game started having major stability issues on PC
but players have noted lag in the console version both in sp and mp (mostly mp)

granted this is often because of how they have their galaxy set up
some have seen success in fixing it by toning down their galaxy settings, others haven't
so it's a mixed bag

and i'm worried because after Megacorp and for awhile after Federations the stability on pc got much worse...
and this wasn't just on low end gaming rigs either, this was happening on relatively good gaming pc rigs

games would desync and super lag/freeze, thus resulting in people getting kicked out of the game to rejoin and have it happen again within 5-10 minutes

Hardware logistics aside, I would be very surprised (and supremely disappointed) if we didn’t get Megacorp/Distant Stars for current gen.

A lot of their content is referenced in-game already so that would be a the worst kind of tease.

Hello!

The console version is already on 2.2, which is the version of Megacorps ( https://stellaris.paradoxwikis.com/Patch_2.2.X#2.2.7 ), but only the achievements of it are visible.

So the things which made the stability issues on PC (economy rehaul, pop calculations....) are already active in the console edition, only the DLC of Megacorps (and Distant Stars) itself is still to come.

HTH,

Ciao,

Steve

we don't have everything from megacorp and some of that is why pc had stability issues

we likely will, given that we won't see the new consoles til "maybe" the end of this year

and paradox/tantalus would need time to adapt the game to the new systems if they would want to wait (probably early next year)
and frankly the chances of them waiting that long...not probable

they got massive backlash from the community after utopia was out for a few months and had gotten 0 info on any future development, letting fans think that the game on console hadn't done as well and were being left high and dry [cause let's face it, owning a console is way cheaper than a gaming pc]

Can you give an example, please?

Ciao,

things we don't have access to that are in megacorp:

branch offices [as well as the buildings that work off branch offices]
the administrative office tile buildings for each empire type
megacorperation empires
3 Ascension Perks

thats what i can think of off the top of my head

and i'll tell you right now one of those ascension perks can lag the game to no end

I believe I remember either Paradox or Tantalus tweeting that they were going to *TRY* to catch console up to PC by the end of the year. I doubt that'll happen but I'm hoping they'll keep open communications at least so we know what's happening and aren't left with the assumption they've left consoles completely.

console is still missing Distant Stars and Megacorp from the 2.2 update
(which have their own game changing mechanics that need to be activated)

then we have Ancient Relics (which adds archeology sites to random places)
Lithoids (a unique race that consumes Minerals, and has special traits)
and then Federations (which is a big change to the galaxy, as well as bringing in Origins which will change up the game a fair amount)

i can see Distant Stars and Megacorp happening this year, but not the rest until next year

This is false. Paradox DLC's work using an activation key (which is evidenced by the fact the DLC's are only 10MB on Xbox One) which allow the game to access the DLC content which is already installed in the base game. Before Apocalypse released Fallen Empires were able to build Colossi and there were reports of AI empires using Apocalypse civics and Titans.
The performance issues came from the new jobs system in 2.2 anyways, which is clearly already in the game.

Well Paradox release DLC's on console in the form of 3 add-ons that are sold as an Expansion Pass, So far the two Expansion Passes have had one Expansion, one Story pack and one species pack. I reckon Paradox will try and get us one more Expansion Pass by the end of the year which I'll be happy with. Out of the remaining 2.2 compatible add-ons, which ones fit into which of the three categories? We'll likely get either Megacorp or Federations, those sound like Expansions. I think we'll probably get Lithoids since that sounds like a species pack. From what limited knowledge I have on Distant Stars and Ancient Relics they sound like Story packs so we'll most likely get one of them. Personally I'm hoping for Distant Stars because it sounds cool, I know mostly nothing about it but I've heard about the L-gate which is apparently "inaccessible via Hyperlanes" which sounds menacing, I don't know which one out of Megacorp and Federations I prefer, but I would like Diplomacy to be a viable option or a change, and Lithoids sounds cool I guess.

yes i'm aware of that
but my statement about us still not having content from Distant Stars and Megacorp is accurate

while we may have some of it, we do not have everything that was a part of those updates

Distant Stars - Still missing L-Gates [and subsequent tech/etc]
Megacorp - Missing empire setups, Branch Offices, Administrative Buildings for each main empire type
