I find it strange that two nations bordering each other would have a problem with a distance between borders relation. As Savoy, France won't ally or RM me because of a -19970 "Distance between borders" modifier. This a bug or is there some crazy Paradox subplot here meant to create havoc between these two nations?

I had the same problem with barrois when I got it released from provence, barrois wouldn't vassalize, only had 1 border to him(champagne), was saying same error message, had to conquer bourgogne to actually vassalize it
This has been fixed on the beta hotfix (Plus quite a few others)
